Saif Bin Zayed launches EIDA mobile registration service

He also inaugurated EIDA's new website at its Operations Center, in the presence of H.E. Ahmed Mohamed Al Humairi, the General Secretary of Ministry of Presidential Affairs and EIDA Board member; board members, H.E. Darwish Ahmed Al Zaraouni, EIDA General manager; EIDA Department Managers as well as written, Radio and TV local media.

H.H. Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed cut the ribbon in announcement of launching the mobile registration service. Ceremonies included display of the model cars to be used in providing the service which will be open to all those willing to register from the comfort of their houses, by contacting EIDA's Call Center on 600 523 432 to set an appointment.

H.H. Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed inaugurated EIDA's new website (www.emiratesid.ae) where he listened to an explanation of the comprehensive information on the Population Register and ID Card Program and various services provided by EIDA, mainly the registration form which was updated to be more convenient for the applicants, in addition to registration procedures and EIDA's registration center locations map.

In the press conference following the inauguration ceremony, H.E. Darwish Al Zaraouni, EIDA General Manager, expressed his profound gratitude and appreciation for the generous appearance of H.H. Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Interior and EIDA Deputy Chairman, which reflects his highness's concern and follow up with EIDA efforts as well as the huge support provided to the Authority by the Board of Directors under the instructions of H.H. First Lieutenant General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed AL Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and EIDA Chairman, under the wise leadership of H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the instructions of H.H. Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashed Al Maktoom, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

On the other hand, H.E. Darwish Al Zaraouni, General Manager of the Emirates Identity Authority said that the mobile registration service serves one of the Authority's strategic objectives represented in serving the customers and promote the authority's services and pointed out that EIDA is the first government authority which goes to the customers and relieve them from heading to the service center for registration and follow the routine administrative follow.

H.E. Al Zaraouni said that launching the new EIDA website comes under the enlightenment and promotion plan adopted by the Emirates Identity Authority in order to enhance the awareness level for the public in relation with the population register & ID Card Program and be provided with all the necessary information on the Card's feature and use thereof, in addition to the goals of the population register and the role it plays in the national development, along with the information on registration centers spread across the UAE and registration procedures. "The new website has been upgraded to become a comprehensive e-gate for e-services to be provided by the Authority to customers using ID Card for obtaining different government & non-government e-services", stated Al Zaraouni.

The importance of the authority's website lies in that it is the first station in the registration process to obtain the ID card, whereas customers shall fill the registration form on the internet and print it out before they head to the registration center along with their necessary evidentiary documents to further complete the remaining registration procedures.
