The website provides commercial information on Renault such as its new and existing line-up, its dealer network, service centres and information on its recently set up call centre. It also provides corporate information on Renault group and regional initiatives being implemented by the brand across the region.

Nicolas Guiochet, General Manager-Marketing, Renault GCC, said: "Having a well-designed website is essential for any company that wants to reach out to its audience- especially in today's world where everything needs to be at the click of a button."

"Renault already has an excellent global website. However, we felt it necessary to launch a local website specific and relevant to residents of this country. We announced at the recent Middle East Motor Show that we had ambitious plans for the region and this is another step in that direction," he added.

In addition to the website for Bahrain and the UAE, Renault GCC has also launched a website for the Middle East (www.renault-me.com) and individual websites for other GCC countries. The new Renault websites will be updated regularly providing useful information on developments across the Renault group.

"The web link will act as a gateway to information about our products, services, involvement in international and local events, recent innovations and the people behind the brand. We hope this effort brings added value to our customers and enhances our reach across this diverse country," added Guiochet.

The $5.6bn Renault Group designs, develops, manufactures and sells innovative, safe and environmentally-friendly vehicles worldwide. It has a commercial presence in 118 countries selling vehicles under three brands - Renault, Dacia and Renault Samsung Motors.

Renault also pursues an Alliance with Nissan, created in 1999. The Renault-Nissan Alliance is the fourth largest automotive group in the world, and aims to rank among the world's top three automotive groups for quality, technology and profitability.

Established in 1898, Renault is a group with a long and successful history of vehicle production. Today, it produces cars and light commercial vehicles in 18 countries on five continents for its customers around the world.
Under its well-known Renault Commitment 2009 business plan, Renault intends to grow its business along three major axes - quality, profitability and sales. The new Laguna will be among the top three cars in its segment for quality, signaling Renault's intention to achieve the same level of quality across its range worldwide. Renault will achieve an operating margin target of 6% in 2009 through a cost reduction program, optimized investments and synergies developed with Nissan under the Alliance. Finally, thanks to the launch of 26 new products and international growth, Renault will sell 800,000 more vehicles in 2009 than in 2005. 37% of Renault's sales will be made outside Europe by 2009.

In terms of fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions, the Renault lineup is among the most efficient in the world today. By 2008, Renault will sell one million cars emitting less than 140g/km of CO2, one-third of these emitting less than 120 grams.

Renault's international growth will result from its Alliance with Nissan, strategic partnerships, performance of Dacia and Renault Samsung Motors and the creation of products focused on the differing requirements of customers in all parts of the world. The Renault Group employs 128,893 people worldwide.
