Students will also have the opportunity to visit leading business schools in New York City and interact with fellow finance students there. This trip comes at the celebration of the first anniversary of the UD Finance Society.
The Society aims at helping students develop the professional, academic and social skills that are essential to compete successfully in today's financial job market. This educational trip is being made possible through the generous donation of Dhs100,000 by Zabeel Investments, a Dubai-based diversified investment company.
Dr. Omar Hefni President of UD, at a press conference held at DCCI, thanked Zabeel Investments for their generous donation and for their support of student activities at UD.
Dr. Lamia Abdelaziz, Founder and Chair of UD Finance Society, further thanked the students Nasser Al Abdool and Nada Almansoor for their active involvement in promoting the Society within the industry. Dr. Lamia indicated that the Society looks towards closer ties with the industry through guest speaking events, visits to leading financial institutions and closer ties with finance students in the country and the region.
