The display is due to begin with a spectacular flypast of the team in formation with an Etihad Airbus A330 airliner, powered by two Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines.
The United Arab Emirates Air Force & Air Defence is a long-standing Rolls-Royce customer and the Adour engine is the mainstay of its fixed-wing fleet. The Air Force operates Hawks in the two-seat trainer variant, powered by the Adour Mk871 and Mk861.

Rolls-Royce also provides the powerplant for United Arab Emirates Air Force and Air Defence's C-130 and MB339 aircraft.
Rolls-Royce has a fleet of over 100 military engines in service with the United Arab Emirates Air Force & Air Defence, in addition to its considerable presence in the country's airline, marine and energy sectors.
Rolls-Royce is an equal partner in the Rolls-Royce Turbomeca joint venture company which makes the Adour engine.
The Red Arrows arrive in Abu Dhabi - powered by Rolls-Royce
Tomorrow we will see the arrival of the Red Arrows in Abu Dhabi, where representatives of the armed forces and thousands of spectators will see the Adour-powered Hawk trainer aircraft demonstrate its breathtaking performance on Thursday 13 December.

Rolls-Royce has a growing presence in the Middle East, where it is playing an important role in the development of the region across all the Group's sectors - civil aerospace, defence aerospace, marine and energy.The Trent engine family has been ordered by many of Middle East customers, including Qatar, Emirates, Etihad, Alafco and Gulf Air, powering Boeing 777s, A330s, A350 XWBs and A340s. In addition, Etihad will be the first operator in the region of the Trent-powered A380. The International Aero Engines V2500 is also operated widely.
The Group has more than 1,000 military engines in operation, covering all the defence market sectors, including the Adour, powering Hawk trainers and the T56 on C-130 transport aircraft, as well as numerous helicopter engines.
To date, Rolls-Royce has 400 industrial gas turbines in the region and the Dolphin Gas Project from Qatar to the UAE is using Trent gas turbines for the undersea pipeline system.
Marine products are in service throughout the commercial and naval sectors. In Kuwait, the navy operates the UM Almaradim class patrol boats with Kamewa waterjets. UT Design offshore support vessels are being built for Abu Dhabi.
Rolls-Royce is also increasing its local community activities, by providing support for business and educational programmes.
