According to the MoU, Modhesh will promote Dubai International Character and Licensing Fair regionally and Jum Jum will promote Dubai Shopping Festival internationally.

Lailla Suhail Chief Strategy Officer Dubai Shopping Festival - Modhesh signed on behalf of DSF Office - Modhesh and Mr. Abdul Salam AL Madani President INDEX Holding signed on behalf of Dubai International Character Fair - JumJum.

This new partnership between Jum Jum and Modhesh to collectively promote Dubai International Character and Licensing Fair 2008 the first and only dedicated trade event for marketing and licensing of cartoon characters, logos, films, brands, arts & designs in the Middle East and North Africa region MENA. This was officially announced today Tuesday in a press conference held at Burjuman Conference Hall.

This important event received in the recent month's encouraging response from local, regional, and international companies and corporations. Indicators show that over 250 companies and corporations will participate in the event. It will also draw over 15000 business visitors for the MENA region and the world.

Mr. Abdul Salam Al Madani President of Index Holding said Dubai International Character and Licensing Fair 2008 is a unique fair catering to cultural , social ,trading and economic event. It emphasizes on educational and arts characters, film, TV, entertainment, brands, logos of sports clubs and events, logos, music, design and personalities licensing industry.

'Modhesh the most prominent and well known character in the entire region has made in the recent years tremendous success in promoting Dubai Shopping Festival. Jum Jum character has drawn the attention of a wide spectrum of businesses locally and internationally. Modhesh and Jum Jum through their partnership are capable of effectively promoting Dubai International Fair 2008,' Mr. Abdul Salam Al Madani said.

He added, 'This important event addresses an important aspect of Dubai Economic Development Plan announced by H.H.Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.Its core objectives is to create a friendly investment environment, attract instuitional foreign investors to achieve high economic and social returns. Besides it endeavor to support and facilitate the growth and development of productive tourism especial family tourism industry, and the effective participation of the private sector in the economic, social educational and tourism.

The Dubai International Character and Licensing Fair is the ideal platform in bringing together the leading international characters producers, media, advertisers, graphic designers, marketers, manufacturers, retailers, licensees, licensing agents, licensors and other decision makers and investors from the entire Middle East and North Africa (MENA) countries, the Indian Sub - continent, Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas.

The tie up with Index Holding-Dubai International Character Fair and the partnership between Modhesh and Jum Jum to collectively promote each other spelled in today's Memorandum of Understanding is considered step forward towards attracting the best internationally competitive commercial, retail trade, industrial, tourism and leisure trade marks. The cooperation and alliance that ties up Modhesh and Jum Jum will facilitate the introduction and innovation of new concepts of trade marks characters in the sectors of trade, industry, tourism, and leisure to be depicted from the culture and environment in the United Arab Emirates, Laila added.

The Dubai International Character and Licensing Fair - Character Dubai has recently forged partnership agreement with Dubai Naturalization and Residency Department and is officially supported by Dubai Convention Bureau, Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), Dubai Land as platinum sponsor and Arab Media Group as Official Media partner.
