Capitalizing on 30 years' experience in multi-site multi-discipline Laboratory Information Systems, TECHNIDATA announces the imminent release of Version 11 of its TD-Synergy suite, the reference in LIS systems.
A comprehensive solution for automating clinical laboratories
TECHNIDATA provides software developed in full compliance with ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 quality standards, covering all clinical laboratory disciplines: Biochemistry, Hematology, Immunology, Bacteriology, Virology, Histology, Cytology, Blood Banking, Transplant management, Genetics, etc.
The TD-Synergy suite manages all patient data in the laboratory from request creation, printing of labels, sample management, until reporting of results. This information can also be transmitted to other systems such as hospital information systems. TD-Synergy optimizes the lab workflow and turnaround time, reduces costs and increases the efficiency, while ensuring patient safety with high traceability and quality control features for reducing medical errors. It automates repetitive tasks, so that the lab staff can focus on real questionable cases.
From its early beginnings, TECHNIDATA designed software products capable of managing simple structures to complex organizations. Based on this experience, the latest version of the TD-Synergy suite, which will be released worldwide at the end of February 2008, introduces new key features for managing multi-site and multi-lab configurations.
Multi-site and multi-lab management capabilities, a major feature
The objective is to manage a group of laboratories of different disciplines, located in different sites, with a single TD-Synergy Laboratory Information System. Sharing a common patient file across several laboratories without compromising patient data confidentiality is the key objective, because it optimizes how test equipment and human resources are allocated across the entire group of laboratories, and it saves on associated maintenance costs.
'The real challenge was to offer this new set of multi-site and multi-lab features while preserving a high level of performance. This is a real plus that has already helped us win major deals, such as UHS in the USA or the APHM group of hospitals in France', explains François LECERTISSEUR, TD-Synergy Product Manager at TECHNIDATA.
Universal Health Services Inc. (UHS), one of the largest and most respected healthcare management companies in the USA, has purchased TD-Synergy for a system-wide installation in their acute care hospitals. The comprehensive solution will be hosted centrally at the King of Prussia Corporate Headquarters, and used by 25 different sites across the UHS network. The first of UHS's laboratory systems went live in November 2007 at Reno Hospital in Northern Nevada, with great success.
In France, the Assistance Publique des Hôpitaux de Marseille (APHM), serving a population of over 1 million people, has also chosen TD-Synergy for its 5 multi-site hospitals with 3 600 beds and 26 laboratories, and covering 17 disciplines. 830 laboratory users and 1700 prescribers will use the TD-Synergy Web module in the near future.
TECHNIDATA is now seeking new business opportunities in the Middle East. The company will therefore be present on stand RA20 of MEDLAB 2008 in Dubai, from January 28-31.
MEDLAB, the largest Medical Laboratory and Instrumentation event in the Middle East, is an integral part of ARAB HEALTHCARE, the largest medical exhibition in the Middle East.
