At a ceremony at the college, Vice-Chancellor Mohammed Al Budoor presented certificates to five graduates from Seychelles International Airport, who are now fully qualified Air Traffic Controllers in aerodrome and procedural control.

Certificates were also presented to five UAE nationals from Dubai International Airport who completed their Ab-initio ATC training. The five Assistant Air Traffic Controllers will return to the college in the New Year to complete their studies.

In congratulating the graduates, Mr Al Budoor said: "I am very pleased to award certificates to our 10 trainees who have demonstrated a high level of dedication to this tough course of study.

"The Air Traffic Control Management course has attracted quite a number of airport authorities from both within the UAE and across the region, including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, the Maldives and the Seychelles. Their trainee controllers are assured of a comprehensive programme, using the latest state-of-the-art ATC simulator."

The college's Air Traffic Management department is run by Canadian and Australian professionals and offers a wide range of courses from standardised ATC courses to advanced programmes. They all meet international standards and recommended practices governed by ICAO and are approved by the UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).
