Sawtouna is overseen by a 7-member committee at the YEA, and the issues it tackles are derived from the recommendations of the Entrepreneurship Forum of 2004.Sawtouna works to promote the growth and creation of Small/Medium Enterprises and Start-ups through legislative and structural reforms. Sawtouna strives to reduce the burdens associated with doing business in Jordan, and to make grassroots entrepreneurship commonplace.
The project is driven by the belief that through the removal of regulatory burdens, which make starting a business exclusive, Jordan can create the engine for sustainable economic growth, consequently making entrepreneurship an accessible concept to all socio-economic strata.
