The Arabian Business Award goes to Hydra Properties

The ceremony was attended by a large number of VIPs from different sectors, who's gathering at this event is testimony to the fine caliber of the award.

The award, a yearly event organized by ITP, running in its eighth year now, has become one of the most prestigious business awards in the region. This year awards comprised 15 business categories, and two special swards. The first special award (by the jury) went to charitable accomplishments, which was well deserved by Dubai Cares campaign. The second special award (ITP editors choice), however, was bestowed on Hydra Properties, the leading Abu Dhabi based international property developer.

"It is a great pleasure for Hydra Properties to receive this honorable award", said Dr. AL Fahim, CEO, Hydra Properties. "Selecting Hydra Properties by ITP editors is a clear indication of its fast and big leaps in the business world, and how well those were perceived by members of the media", he added.

Hydra Properties, with Dr, Sulaiman Al Fahim 30 years taking leadership, made great accomplishments, since it was established in 2006, on local and international levels. The company launched this year several development projects in UAE, like Hydra village in Abu Dhabi, Hydra Towers in Dubai Sheikh Zayed Road, and Hydra Towers in Business Bay, Dubai. On the international level, Hydra Waves development in Mazatlan, Mexico stands as the biggest of its projects.

Forging several partnerships with local banks and financing institutions such as the one with Emirates Islamic Bank, its joint ventures with other property developers, such as partnering with Al Qudra Holdings international, and acquisition of a 20% stake in Ras AL Khaima Cement, the company is shaping new business practices for time to come. Its with great determination, vision, and initiative of Dr. Sulaiman Al Fahim, these achievements were realized.

Dr. Sulaiman ALFahim explained: "With the ongoing real estate and construction boom in UAE, and many attractive opportunities world wide, Hydra Properties found that it is the time to pursue a fortified business strategy. Several factors helped to get the company there; the right environment, a management with a sense of the future, and a proper team, made Hydra Properties, within a very short period, a recognizable brand in different parts of the world."

Walid Akawi, CEO, ITP remarked: "For an organization the size of Hydra Properties now, it takes years to gain local and international recognition. But, business leadership, experience in an area that he is firmly established in, are only two reasons to Dr. Al Fahim's success in transforming the company into what it is in less than two years."

This year's awards were selected by a prestigious panel of judges who are representatives of some of the region's leading local and international businesses.

Becoming one of the glamorous awards in the region, Arab Business Awards continues to attract serious attention of many businessmen in the region. Some of the most important 'Arabian Business' winners in the past years include His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan, His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morroco, His Royal Highness Prince Al Waleed Bin Talal, and the Egyptian Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif.
