The leader catheterization lab in the UAE and the Gulf has added an extra level of cardiovascular care.
Since its opening, the cath-lab equipped with the-state-of-the art equipment from Siemens, has been improving patient comfort, providing faster imaging times and enabling physicians to diagnose and treat cardiovascular problems found anywhere during one procedure. It has also enabled cardio-vascular surgeons to perform catheterizations and angioplasties, stenting, closing septal holes etc…
The celebration was attended by Michael Heindel, the Tawam CEO and all Tawam chief officers and the cath-lab -lab staff.

Mr. Heindel addressed the audience.
He added: Our cath-lab combines state of the art technology and top-notch staff, today we celebrate their invaluable work that added quality to cardiac and angioplasty care.'

'We pride ourselves on the best experienced cath-lab staff and having the very latest medical technology, both have added a new cutting edge technology that allows physicians a better view of the heart and the arteries for both diagnostic and treatment purposes.'

Drs. Mohammad Hamdan, Dr.Heitham Hassoun and Dr. Hussam Oudeh along with _ their respective teams have been committed to serving the community by implementing a competitive state-of-the-art cardiovascular program in a relatively short period.
The cath lab is one of the many superb significant advancements brought in by Johns Hopkins Medicine to the UAE. This new services is vital to diagnosing and treating cardiac patients. Prior to the addition of this service, patients had to be transported abroad for interventional procedures.
Dr. Mohammad Hamdan Senior Consultant Pediatric Cardiologist said; 'Since its opening the cath-lab has added an extra level of cardiac care for all patients coming from all over the UAE and the Gulf region. Tawam Hospital Cath lab has become one of the most reputed and dedicated group of interventionalists and cardiologists, and has positioned itself at the forefront of cardiovascular health care providing the most up-to-date technology coupled with compassionate care with passion.' He added: 'Today we celebrate our promise to the community that we will continue to offer them nothing less than the world class care.'
Dr. Hussam Oudeh Consultant Cardiologist and Acting Chief of Cardiology Dept. explained 'The benefit of this technology is that it has enhanced quality, safety and timely care, all of which are our top priority. Personally, I have gained a rich experience in treating intricate cases especially the pediatric cases. In addition to serving adult patients, the new lab has enabled us to treat even more pediatric patients under the direction of Dr.Hamdan.'
Dr. Heitham Hassoun commented 'I am very proud to be part of this service newly introduced to Tawam Hospital. The achievements of our cath-lab in its first year reflect the high caliber of the services we provide every day. The support from the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi, the hospital management and our staff has been excellent. I foresee a bright future for the Tawam Hospital in affiliation with Johns Hopkins Medicine. I am quite confident that our cath-lab will become one of the highest-ranked destination and referral labs regionally in keeping with the Health Authority's quest to become world-class.'
