The four day festival started from December 19 to December 22 from 5pm till midnight.
The Eid celebrations at QAQ included fantastic Al Qasba Musical Fountain Shows, firework shows, great beats from traditional Arabic bands and loads of fun for kiddies and adults. Popular for its interesting heritage activities, Qanat Al Qasba hosted exciting events for its visitors including traditional seating areas for families to relax in while sipping a bit of homemade Qahwa (traditional coffee) and munching into mouthwatering delicacies including the famous Emirati sweets Luquaimat made on the spot by UAE nationals.
'It has been a great pleasure for us at Qanat Al Qasba to watch the Eid celebrations activities end so successfully. The number of visitors during the past 4 days to walk the destination has been colossal. A lot of credit goes to the people behind the scenes who helped put together various aspects of the event to make it such a tremendous success,' said Marwan Al Sarkal, CEO of Qanat Al Qasba Development Authority.
'Visitors to QAQ Eid celebrations enjoyed the fun and festive atmosphere laden with exciting events as well as the peaceful ambience of Qanat Al Qasba, making a complete experience,' he added.
'Families enjoyed the Eid Al Adha celebrations at the beautiful location with festive activities at Qanat Al Qasba. The activities have been planned for people of all age groups including children, and we hope to bring the best to them' he concluded.
And while the adults imbibed in the festive spirit, the children enjoyed themselves at the supervised Kiddies Area and the face painting corner to their hearts content. Visitors also had the opportunity to enjoy the cool nights with a few rides in the horse and camel riding zones.
QAQ visitors enjoyed the scrumptious cuisines offered by various restaurants flanking the canal, rides on the Eye of the Emirate, the biggest observatory wheel in the region and the QAQ Abra tour along the peaceful canal.
