- PRESS RELEASE
'Magic of Cinema,' a six-day photo exhibition of the outstanding works of world-renowned photographers of the Magnum Photo Agency, concluded with a fitting finale yesterday when Noor Ali Rashid, the royal photographer of Dubai was presented with a Baume & Mercier watch for his contributions to photography.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Nieto, said, "The message, Baume & Mercier & Me, already well anchored in the brand's history, illustrates perfectly the close ties it has built with its public around the world - a bond composed of simplicity, a taste for a particular lifestyle and shared values."
He noted that Baume & Mercier has demonstrated on numerous occasions the importance it places on others through partnerships. "We joined hands with Magnum in USA to partner with them for the celebration of their 60th anniversary in New York earlier this year." Baume & Mercier sponsored the exhibition "Moments in Time", a photographic retrospective in New York.
Philippe Caron, Brand Manager of Baume & Mercier and master of ceremonies said Baume and Mercier is "present in 110 countries and lays great emphasis on design because of which there is an authenticity to each and every model that is recognisable as distinctively Baume & Mercier, even though every model is different."
Commenting on the brand's tryst with photography, Mr. Nieto remarked: "As a proximity Brand, the territory retained by Baume & Mercier for its "below the line" actions is photography. Proximity is the core value we want to emphasize through our communications and photography is a very good way to do this. Our brand defines itself in the present and photography is about Immediacy," Mr. Nieto observed.
