Iran $1bn for new planes

Iran's Supreme Council for Management and Economic Planning has allocated $1bn for the acquisition of new passenger aircraft, reported the Tehran Times. Carriers would be obliged to provide the council with purchase statements every three months. Iran's Road and Transportation Minister Mohammed Rahmati recently said that unlimited funds would be made available for buying new planes from the Oil Stabilisation Fund.
