KHDA's primary mandate is to develop the education and human resource sectors and bring them on par with international standards and prevalent best practices. In line with this mandate KHDA's fundamental approach to its licensing responsibility is to introduce improved quality, access, reliability, and transparency. But more importantly, the Authority looks forward to effecting the change through a new partnership and an enhanced working relationship with the schools and institutions.
Commenting on the implementation of the new role, Dr Abdulla Al Karam, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director General of the KHDA said, "Within just few months since its startup as an Authority, KHDA, after extensive consultation with a wide variety of stakeholders has developed its licensing body. KHDA welcomes this new responsibility and pledges to establish an open collaborative relationship with its licensees with a view towards fulfilling our joint goals of quality and access. We invite the institutions to enter a new partnership with us that will enable and facilitate world class learning for the populations in the Emirate. One of our main focuses is improved customer service for all."
Confirming the need for quality education Dr. Al Karam said, "Dubai is known for its excellence in many areas and it's time to extend this to the gamut of education and learning in the Emirate.
