Drivers not fine over Salik

  • United Arab Emirates: Sunday, December 30 - 2007 at 07:59

Motorists in Dubai have complained about the Roads and Transport Authority's decision yesterday, Saturday, to waive the fines of those violating the city's Salik road toll during its first four months of operation, reported Gulf News. Fines incurred between July 1, when Salik was introduced, and October 31 have been scrapped. But some motorists feel the decision penalises law-abiding drivers who bought Salik tags, and credit, when instructed to do so.
