Union National Bank launches investment seminar

Union National Bank (UNB) organized a seminar entitled "Alternatives, Structured Products & International Investment" on the 9th and 10th December 2007 at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Abu Dhabi.

The Seminar is part of UNB's continued effort to strengthen the relationship with corporate customers and High Net Worth Individuals to enable them to understand the latest developments in the arena of international investment. Eminent professionals on "Structured Products" from Deutsche Bank - UK held presentations during the Seminar.

The Seminar was attended by 57 corporate and High Net Worth Individual customers who reaped the benefits of learning about the latest trends, alternatives and structured products available in the international investment arena.

Mr. Mahmoud Halawa, SVP & Head of Corporate Banking Group who headed the seminar said: "This seminar confirms our implementation of a new long-term strategy of informing our customers who are investing with us and enlightening them about the latest trends in the world investment arena".

The seminar discussed in detail the commodities market overview, opportunities and risks at the global economy, foreign exchange-linked debit instruments, rates structuring, in addition to introducing hedge funds, credit derivatives and liability management products.

The seminar was lively with interaction and many questions and answers. The customers thanked the bank for having brought about awareness and enlightening them about the available alternatives, structured products and international investments.
