The announcement follows a closed-bid invitation to a short-list of top international consultancy companies.
Acknowledged as leading international experts in project management and engineering, Mouchel Parkman will undertake infrastructure works including water, power, gas, communications, sewers, irrigation, district cooling, street lighting and internal roads.
The consultancy will also undertake several research projects on environmental issues, traffic impact, and also on geotechnical studies. The design package is expected to be completed by February 2008 to be ready for tender thereafter.

The integrated development is located off Airport road at the old Mashtal site and is only a few minutes away from the Abu Dhabi Corniche. The project will comprise office, residential, entertainment and retail areas alongside hotel and serviced apartments and an entertainment/sports arena. Al Mashtal will also contain an exclusive boutique hotel, a ballroom, a public gallery and a gross parking floor area of over 224,000 sqm.
