Emirates Post issues stamps to mark golden jubilee

Emirates Post has issued a set of commemorative stamps to mark the golden jubilee of Al Rostamani Group.

The stamps are available at all post offices in the UAE. In addition, First Day Covers are available at the philatelic counters in Karama, Deira and Abu Dhabi post offices.

Mr. Abdulla Al Daboos, President of Emirates Post Group, presented the stamps in an ornamental frame to Mr. Marwan Abdulla Al Rostamani, Chairman of Al Rostamani Group, at a special ceremony at Al Rostamani Group's headquarters in Dubai today. Mr. Abdullah Al Zaabi, Acting Assistant Director General, Developing & Marketing Affairs, Emirates Post, was also present.

"Al Rostamani Group is celebrating 50 years of outstanding achievements in diverse sectors. The group has played a pioneering role in the development of the UAE and continues to grow through sheer innovation and creativity," said Mr. Al Daboos. "We are delighted to commemorate the Group's achievements through these stamps."

Marwan Abdulla Al Rostamani said: "As a longstanding local conglomerate, we are proud to have reached this milestone of 50 years of operations in the UAE. Our success is a reflection of the achievements witnessed in the country and our standing evolves with the progress that is shaping the nation. The Group's past experiences and achievements will spearhead it into the future."

The Al Rostamani Group was founded in 1957 by the late Mr. Abdulla Hassan Al Rostamani. Today, it employs 3,000 people in 13 different business sectors, ranging from automobiles and heavy equipment sales and service to trading, financial services and IT. The group is driven by the core values of 'commitment, care and vision.' The group's partners include big industry names such as Suzuki, Renault, Nissan Diesel, TATA, Michelin, Castrol and Blue Star, among others.
