Suez seeks US bound ships

Admiral Ahmad Fadel, the Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, has said the waterway intends to attract more container vessels headed for the US from Asia by offering cheaper rates of passage, reported Bloomberg. Egypt wants more ships to travel via the Suez Canal and then on to east coast ports in the US, rather than go directly to America's west coast as more than 90% do now.
