Beginning on November 1st and running for 8 weeks, the campaign included over 20,000 retailers across the UAE, merchants who have installed either Network International's or National Bank of Dubai's e-pos terminals at their check-outs.
Commenting on the rationale behind the promotion, Abdulla Qassem, Chairman, Network International, said: 'Together, Network International and National bank of Dubai are not just UAE's but the region's largest card solutions providers. We believe that our offerings represent a significant advantage for our customers - in terms of speed of transactions, speed of reconciliations and security. With the recently concluded 'Lucky Swipe' we made another value addition to our offering by driving traffic and business to our merchant partners.'
This promotion accepted credit and debit cards from all banks, whether issued in the region or from other parts of the world. Every consumer, making a purchase of AED 100 or more, and paying for it by swiping his or her card at a Network International or National Bank of Dubai e-pos machine, received one entry into the draw. This mega promotion offered prizes worth over AED 300,000 to the consumers, including one fully loaded Hummer H3, twenty 32' LCD televisions, and hundred 10gm gold bars.
The promotion was sponsored by Emirates Bank and National Bank of Dubai.
