DTCM reviews bilateral ties with new German envoy

The Director General of Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), Mr. Khalid A bin Sulayem, received the new Consul General of Federal Republic of Germany, Mr. Johann-Adolf Cohausz, and discussed bilateral issues and ways to strength relations, especially in tourism and commerce domains.

They agreed to promote Dubai as the tourism and business destination in different parts of Germany in the near future.

The German envoy expressed his keenness to promote German heritage and cuisine in the emirate.

Mr. bin Sulayem highlighted the importance of Germany and how the emirate's popularity as a choice holiday destination has been on the rise in Germany, which is second biggest source market for Dubai tourism industry.

Both sides reviewed tourism industry developments and Dubai government's initiatives in different domains and ways to strengthen relations between the UAE and Germany in general and Dubai in particular.

Mr. bin Sulayem briefed the diplomat about the department's vision and initiatives to promote and market Dubai in overseas markets, especially Germany.
