Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority participates at the International SITE conference in California

Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority M.I.C.E team recently participated at the International SITE (Society of Incentive Travel and Executives) Conference in Monterey California.

The attendees at this year's conference reached over 460 professionals from 33 countries worldwide. Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority has led the UAE delegation to the event, represented by Gillian Taylor, Business Tourism (M.I.C.E) Manager and Mubarak Al Nuaimi Head of Mice section. In addition Gillian Taylor attended a Board meeting as the Director representing Africa and the Middle East on the international SITE Board.

ADTA actively supports the SITE Young Leaders Program which is committed to educating the next generation of performance improvement leaders. It is worth mentioning that 78 Young leaders attended the event.

At the conference, SITE made a commitment to embrace and promote sustainable/green incentive and travel programs and meetings and the SITE International Conference was planned as a green conscious event.

During the conference the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority M.I.C.E. team also participated in the Chapter parade representing the UAE SITE chapter that they have recently formed.

It is worth mentioning that SITE (the Society of Incentive Travel Executives) founded in 1973, is the only international, not-for-profit, professional association devoted to the pursuit of excellence in incentives, a multi-billion dollar global industry. SITE provides educational seminars and information services to those who design, develop, promote, sell, administer, and operate motivational programs as an incentive to increase productivity in business.

Currently SITE has over 2,100 members in 87 countries, with 35 local and regional chapters. Members represent corporate executives, incentive companies, destination management companies, travel & event planners, official tourist organizations, transportation companies, hotels and resorts, cruise lines, trade publications, and supporting organizations such as restaurants and visitors attractions.
