- United Arab Emirates: Wednesday, January 02 - 2008 at 11:23
- PRESS RELEASE
Panasonic, one of the industry leaders behind the development of Blu-ray Disc technology and the market leader in Plasma television, today announced the availability of the DMP-BD10A, Panasonic's next generation Blu-ray Disc player.
The new model features a newly enhanced version of VIERA Link, a function that lets you operate multiple connected components with one remote control. For example, when the DMP-BD10A is connected to a Panasonic VIERA flat-panel TV with an HDMI cable, you can turn on the DMP-BD10A and switch the TV's input source to the DMP-BD10A using only the VIERA remote control.
"Panasonic is deeply committed to the success of Blu-ray", commented Yasuo Kimoto, Product Manager, Panasonic Marketing Middle East. "High definition entertainment is a truly unique experience and nothing powers the HD experience like Blu-ray."
In addition to playing pre-recorded Blu-ray movie discs, the DMP-BD10A plays conventional standard-definition DVDs and conventional CDs. Combining Panasonic's acclaimed image-enhancing functions with the latest 7.1-channel surround sound technology, the DMP-BD10A is an outstanding video and audio upgrade to any home cinema system. It also sets a high standard for convenience in the HDTV age, with its ability to play recordings from an HD video camera and the easy operation provided by the enhanced VIERA Link function.
"With the continuing flow of hit movie titles on Blu-ray, combined with aggressive pricing and the increasing awareness of consumers about the unique entertainment experience provided by high definition, the future looks very bright for Blu-ray," added Kimoto.
