Oils hits the $100 mark

Oil hit a record of $100 a barrel triggered by tight energy stockpiles in consumer countries, and a weak dollar which caused a flood of speculative buying, reported Gulf News. Oil's climb to the psychological triple-digit price sent Wall Street tumbling and darkened an already bleak economic outlook in the US, battered by a mortgage crisis.
