Al Aqah boosts F + B offering with the appointment of talented Executive Chef

Chef Pravin, who previously held the position as Executive Sous Chef, will be responsible for overseeing the finest restaurants on the East Coast.

Chef Pravin is versed in Indian, Arabic, Thai and Continental cuisines. From India to the Republic of Maldives, he was given the opportunity to showcase his talents on several occasions and rose to the challenge by experimenting with an assortment of fine ingredients, producing mouthwatering dishes time and time again.

Chef Pravin began his illustrious career at The Oberoi restaurant in India where he worked as a trainee Commis Chef. In 1998 he moved to the Republic of Maldives where he was appointed as Sous Chef for the Paradise Island Hotel and later for the Sun Island Resort. Pravin returned to India in 2000 and made a quite a name for himself at the Goa Marriott Resort as resident Sous Chef.

It was in 2002 when Pravin joined Le Méridien Al Aqah as Sous Chef where he brought with him more than just his culinary expertise. When it comes to special events planning and execution, Chef Pravin displays exceptional organizational skills, creating a dining scene that is enjoyed by clientele all year round.
