Etisalat brings free instant access to Dubai Police services

Etisalat customers have demonstrated the popularity of the Dubai Police fines enquiry service available on their mobile phones.

Since its launch three months ago, over 300,000 customers have utilized this service to view their traffic fines using the interactive menus on their Etisalat mobile phones.

Essa Al Haddad, Chief Marketing Officer, Etisalat, said: 'Our Mobile Commerce solutions have proven popular and are enabling our customers to conduct a number of transactions from the convenience of their mobile phones. Over 300,000 customers have used their mobile phones to access the Dubai Police service alone, and we are happy to empower our customers with mobile phone services that are capable of more than just basic telephony.'

'Etisalat has pioneered a number of services and facilities under its M-commerce suite, and we have brought to our customers the unmatched facility to conduct their transactions using our *123# service, without the need for making a call. This service can be used by anybody from anywhere in the country utilizing their standard phone sets without the need for any additional subscription. The service will be soon enhanced to enable mobile payment of fines.

This service underlines Etisalat's commitment to work alongside the government in its efforts to ease the process by which residents of the UAE can interact with the various departments for their requirements.

Colonel Ahmad Bin Dalmouk, Director of General Department of Electronic Services, Dubai Police, said: 'The service we are offering on Etisalat mobile phones is unique, and allows people to conclude their transactions with Dubai Police from anywhere in the country, without having to visit any of our offices. We appreciate the fact that Etisalat is putting its high-tech infrastructure to work for the convenience of its customers and the residents of the UAE.'
