EIDA announces Al Dhaid Registration Center in Sharjah

Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA), has announced the launch of Al Dhaid registration center in Sharjah, giving both UAE nationals and residents in the Emirate of Sharjah and the surrounding areas the opportunity to register in the Population Register and ID Card system.
Commenting on the occasion, Al Zarouni said that operation of Al Dhaid Center comes in line with EIDA 2007 - 2010 strategy which includes the opening of more registration centers throughout the UAE in order to facilitate enrolment in the Population Register and ID Card Program for all UAE nationals and residents, saving them the difficulties of moving to registration centers located far away from their places of residence.
Al Zarouni confirmed that EIDA will be opening more registration centers with the beginning of the New Year, mainly Al Heir Center at Al Ain, Dubai Naturalization Center and Um Al Quwain Center. He indicated that EIDA is keen to distribute registration centers throughout various regions and emirates of the UAE.
As regards to Al Dhaid Registration Center, Mr. Zarouni stated that the Center is fully equipped and comprises 4 registration lines, as well as an integrated registration line on the ground floor, which is allocated for serving old people. It is noted that that for the time being, Al Dhaid Center is open till 2 p.m.
It is worth mentionioning that in addition to the Al Dhaid Registration Center, the Emirates Identity Department Authority provides 9 other registration centers namely Al Karama Center, Al Barsha Center in Dubai , Al Mushref Center in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain Center, TAMM Center in Zayed City, Sila & Ghiyathi in Western Zone, TAMM Center in Delma and Cooperation Center in Sharjah.
Furthermore, The call centre of the Emirates Identity Authority provides a toll free number (600 523432) for customers who wish to inquire about the locations of other registration centers or obtain any other information about registration in the population register and identity card program. The registration application form, in addition to general information about the Authority, affiliated registration centers, registration measures and other subjects about the characteristics and features of identity card are also available on the recently updated Authority's website.
