Dean of Pharmacy of Ajman University elected President of Academic Accreditation Committee in the Arab World

Dr. Samir Bloukh, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Ajman University of Science and Technology (AUST), was recently elected a president of the Committee for Academic Accreditation for the Pharmacy programs in the Arab world.

This was during the 11th Conference of the Scientific Association for Faculties of Pharmacy in the Arab world that took place in Al-Fateh University in Tripoli/ Libya.

The majority of the 27 deans that were attending the conference voted for him. "Dr. Bloukh's expertise and experience in accreditation have granted him this designation", said one of the attendees.

The conference was an occasion for the Deans from Syria, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Algeria and Tunisia to exchange their experiences and introduce the techniques they are using, as well as the joint projects they are leading in partnership with European and American institutions in the field of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy.

Dr. Mohamed Jaber and Dr. Abdelmawla Rajab delivered a presentation on AUST's experience in quality assurance and assessment of administrative and academic units, while other speakers illustrated their efforts in developing Pharmacy programs.
