UNB celebrates one year of achievements

Union National Bank held its Best Service Branch Award ceremony at the Rotana Beach Hotel and Towers-Abu Dhabi.

The award was established by the Bank's management to continuously improve and develop overall customer service by motivating staff to exceed customer expectations, create a strong customer service across the bank and promote healthy competition based on service quality within UNB branches.

This is in line with UNB's vision to be the number one bank in the UAE in terms of customer satisfaction, staff satisfaction and returns to our share holders and to be recognized as a key player in the region.

All UNB branches & Empost Locations were evaluated based on their achievements in attaining excellence in service quality and customer satisfaction. The selection criterion is based on objective, comprehensive and explicitly measurable inputs from sources like customer satisfaction survey, mystery shopper and service quality facilitation within Bank management. The Best Service Branch Award was enhanced in 2007 by introducing a stringent qualifying cut-off score as a criteria for winning the Platinum, Gold and Silver awards. A total of six winning branches were chosen and the winning staff were recognized and rewarded.

Mohammad Nasr Abdeen, CEO commented "Such awards motivate the staff to deliver the best service to our clients and work towards our main goal to be a top quality bank and the best service provider in the UAE banking sector. This is achieved through effective communication, excellent customer care, accuracy & promptness in rendering services, and accessibility to our customers."

He added: "This award is given out every year as a reward for the efforts and contributions of our employees in having a positive impact on the quality of our services.

UNB would like to thank its customers in providing their valuable opinion on our products & services and thereby partnering in our efforts to deliver excellent customer service.

It is worth mentioning that UNB, had significant achievements in 2007, including the opening of new local branches locally as well as an overseas representative office in Shanghai-China, all providing best quality banking services to individuals and corporates.
