Anwar Abdulrahman, Chairman of Al Hilal Group, comments on this honour by saying, 'We are delighted with HH the Prime Minister's patronage of the Gulf Industry Fair (GIF), which reflects the importance that the Government of Bahrain attaches to the staging of business-of-business exhibitions in the Kingdom. Bahrain's strategic position, vis-à-vis Saudi Arabia and the rest of the Gulf countries, makes it an ideal internationally accepted venue for anyone wanting to conduct business in this region.'

'This show promises to be a comprehensive presentation of exhibits, which will be of interest to our professional trade visitors. The show will feature machinery and instrumentation designed to help and streamline manufacturing with principals coming from Germany, India, Taiwan, the USA and France,' he adds.

GIF 2008 incorporates eight sub-events covering all the major aspects of industry. These are gulf manufacturing, gulf automation, gulf logistics, gulf metal, gulf aluminium, gulf metrology and gulf energy. The event will also have a special focus on Industrial Areas and Free Zones. Over 90 exhibitors from 19 different countries will display their products and services to professional visitors from the region's industry and contracting sectors.
