The courses are open to professionals from all industries including construction, petrochemicals, and hospitality; and from general worker to director level. The courses include curriculum from the World Safety Organization (WSO), National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH), Institute of Safety Quality Environmental Management (ISQEM), Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH), British Safety Council (BSC), Institute of Industrial Accident Investigators (IIAI) and Royal Institute of Public Health (RIPH).

Nakheel is also participating in INTERSEC Middle East taking place in Dubai this week. Wayne Harris, General Manager of Nakheel Corporate Health and Safety will be delivering a presentation titled "Risk Management on International Projects" on 15 January at the IOSH Conference that is part of the INTERSEC exhibition. The presentation will focus on areas connected with the management of international projects, focusing on developing and establishing effective risk management systems and the need for effective contractor interfaces. Mr. Harris will also address the importance of health and safety training and its relevance to the improvement of the overall health and safety performance of the global construction industry.
Mr. Harris stated "The new training centre reflects Nakheel's vision to not only raise new standards but to exceed them, and with that strategy in mind we are focused on improving occupational health and safety education throughout Dubai and the UAE in 2008."
