Al Fara'a Construction group hosts seminar on AIDS at Le Grand Château construction site

This is in line with the developer's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, which focuses on addressing global health related issues through alliances with relevant government and international institutions. Organised in collaboration with the Dubai Police, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the Permanent Committee for Labour Affairs (PCLA), the seminar disseminated preventive information regarding AIDS and the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) to over 150 labourers at the site.

The seminar was highlighted by a lecture delivered by Dr. Anjali Gupta, Head of Section, Specialist Pathologist, Dubai Police, who discussed up-to-date AIDS and HIV facts and figures such as its alarming growth rate all over the world, its origin, how it can be transferred and how awareness can be the most effective protection against the virus. Also present at the seminar were senior Al Fara'a Group officials, including Amr Al Banna, Group Director, HR and Administration, Al Fara'a Group and Eng. Ismail Mohammad, Area Manager (Dubai), Al Fara'a General Contracting Co. (LLC), along with Zohoor Hussain Al Sabbagh, Head of Clinic and Community Health Section, Public Health Department and a member of the PCLA.

Through the important contributions by Dubai Police, UNICEF, PCLA and socially-aware corporations such as the Al Fara'a Group, we are taking a very important step towards educating the public on the prevention of AIDS and HIV," said Dr. Gupta.
