The Rector of Kuwait University Abdullah Al-Fahaidan announced that exams scheduled on January 19 will be postponed until January 22, reported Kuwait Times. Al-Fahaidan said the exams were postponed because most Muslims will fast on January 19, which is known as the day of Ashoura. Meanwhile, MP Husain Mezyad asked the Ministry of Education to delay school exams by two hours every day because of the cold weather.
