Kuwait MOE staff say no to fingerprint machines

Kuwait: Thursday, January 17 - 2008 at 09:49

A group of Ministry of Education employees are demanding for the halt of using fingerprint sign-in machines, reported Kuwait Times. The MOE employees stated that the fingerprint machines caused cancer and many other diseases. The employees also claimed that the machines had been cancelled in many other ministries and they urged all employees to go on strike till the old card-punching system was redeemed. Commenting on the call for a strike, some parliamentary sources stressed that those in favor of removing the machines were a group of unproductive employees who never used to go to work and who had other people punch their cards in and out.
