Lack of funds for UAE special needs pupils

United Arab Emirates: Sunday, January 20 - 2008 at 07:51

An initiative to integrate the first four UAE pupils with Down's syndrome into a public kindergarten has been cancelled due to lack of funds, reported Gulf News. Although the initiative was initially successful, at the beginning of the second term the project suffered repeated failure, resulting in its cancellation. Three of the special-needs pupils have been left without any form of schooling.
