GE Energy to showcase efficient energy technologies at World Future of Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi

GE Energy, a leading supplier of power generation and energy delivery technologies, is showcasing its range of cleaner, reliable and more efficient energy technologies at the World Future of Energy Summit to be held from January 21 to 23, 2008, at the Abu Dhabi Exhibition Centre.

GE will exhibit its innovative technologies in harnessing wind and solar energy, gas engine-based power generation, heavy duty and aeroderivative gas turbines, optimization and control systems, and transmission, distribution and service offerings.

The World of Future Energy Summit is a path-breaking event that will cover a wide range of issues relating to World Future Energy policies and strategies, projects, technologies and commercial realities. The Summit, expected to draw over 10,000 visitors from around the world, will also focus on carbon management, alternative fuels and energy sources, green property and sustainable architecture.

"We are a proud partner of the Abu Dhabi government's Masdar initiative, and we look forward to bringing in our expertise in energy, technology and infrastructure to meet today's environmental challenges," said Nabil Habayeb, President & CEO, Middle East and Africa.

The Masdar initiative is Abu Dhabi's multi-faceted response to the need for a global focus on resource conservation and the alternative energy sector. It is designed to ensure in the long term that Abu Dhabi retains and even grows its share of the global energy market.

GE's exhibit will be located at Booth No. 80 at the Abu Dhabi Exhibition Centre. The exhibit will be open from 10am to 5pm on January 21, 22 and 23.
