CPC goes international

Taking the first step in its bid to establish global operations, Construction Products Holding Company (CPC) announced plans to set up an integrated services industrial complex in the city of Pune in India.
Dr. Faysal Alaquil, Director, Business Development and the official spokesman of the company explained "The announcement of the study to set up the new complex in India forms part of the company's strategic plans to expand globally after strengthening its presence in the Saudi market, and following its success in establishing similar operations. Given the robust expansion of urban communities witnessed in various countries around the world, the plan aims to put CPC at the forefront of the industry, supplying various construction materials necessary to sustain the growth of massive global urbanization. "
He explained: "CPC's entry into the Indian market aims at providing a suitable environment for the development of the industry, contributing to advancing the industrial development of the city, and participating in the development of the promising Indian economy by providing the highest levels of services to manufacturers who will be situated inside the complex, CPC will also provide all facilities to establish their projects there particularly through providing of manpower and raw materials."
According to Dr. Alaquil, CPC is now seriously considering the establishment of a similar Industrial complex in Algeria as part of its regional expansion plan in North Africa.
"We have already begun the implementation of our project for the development and evolution of the Industrial zone (the northern expansions) at Sixth October City in Egypt through setting up an integrated complex for construction products, foodstuff and textile industries, in addition to service zones on an area of two million square meters in the state of Algeria," he added.
"We are looking forward to expanding our operations globally wherever our general framework and economic feasibility studies say we can make a difference and operate competitively," Dr. Alaquil ended.
