Consumers to spend $200m at theme parks

Charlie Bray, president and CEO of International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions, said Middle East consumers would spend up to Dhs734m ($200m) at theme parks and attractions by 2011, up from Dhs183.5m in 2009, reported Khaleej Times. Speaking at the Tourism Development Projects and Investment Market exhibition, Bray said the regional sector currently posts revenues of Dhs36.7bn and is expected to grow by 25% in the coming years.
