IMF gives mixed report for Iraq

A new report from the International Monetary Fund has given a mixed report on Iraq's re-emerging economy, reported UPI. The report said Iraq had high marks for controlling government spending but lacked viable investment measures and faced a stagnant economy from a lack of oil output and a difficult security situation. The recent oil outlook made up for production shortfalls and preserved fiscal stability, while inflation and a tight monetary policy curbed overall government spending, the report added.
