Carbon emissions to double by 2050

Carbon emissions have to be halved before the middle of this century in order avoid its negative impact on environment through global warming, said Harold Dovland, a Senior Advisor at the World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi today. So far, indications show that by 2050 carbon emissions will double unless effective action is taken - and industry has to cut its contribution by 10%, building by 18% and transport by 17%.
