Carbon capture key to green clean-up

Some 240 locations within 21 industrial sites in Abu Dhabi are currently emitting carbon dioxide, according to Doug Macdonald, Principal Consultant at SNC-Lavalin. Macdonald said that every project within those sites emits a minimum of two million tonnes of carbon per year. To fight this, the emirate must implement between four and six carbon capture and storage projects, which will reduce carbon emissions by between six and eight million tonnes per year.
