The CEO of RTA Corporate Support Services Abdullah Al Madani said that the new website has been launched in mid of last December after a sweeping upgrading process that covered an extensive range of technical and aesthetic aspects. "An immediate increase of more than 17% in the number of visitors to the website is reported within a short period not exceeding 15 days. This marks a great success compared to the preceding months, and encourages us to step-up provision of the best available services through RTA portal" he said.

"The upgrading process - which has been achieved by the Departments of Marketing & Corporate Communication and IT - covered aesthetic aspects of RTA webpage through applying a set of harmonious & beautiful colour code that does not flicker on the eyes. The stunning color shade adds to the splendor of the website rendering it eye-friendly and nerves soothing. These matters have to be well attended to and taken into consideration. The set of colour ranges included red, blue, green, yellow, orange and purple colours; which are the preferred colour selection of RTA agencies. At the end of the day, these colours match well with the logo and identity of the RTA" added Al Madani.

He pointed out that ensuring easy access to information through providing multiple, well-defined and colour coded selections are among the priorities sought after by this upgrading process. They ensure accurate information and provide instant access to them. This exercise saves time and effort and enables visitors to surf the website without having to undergo complex and time-consuming unnecessary operations and ending up with unsatisfactory results. "To eradicate these shortcomings, we paid a lot of attention to launching a through upgrading process of all matters related to online services, particularly through RTA website" stated Al Madani.

The CEO of Corporate Support Services Sector went further to say: "Upgrading RTA website should be an ongoing and sustained process. This is quite natural as electronic knowhow is continuously on the move and we have to keep pace with it so to remain in touch with the electronic development drive. In fact we are looking forward to be always in the forefront as we are an integral part of the E-Government, and the Electronic City is Dubai".

He stressed that this upgrading and development process is part of a master plan to upgrade all online services, including RTA website, with a view to providing easy access to information. Accordingly RTA, in conjunction with a leading world-class Co. specialized in the field of e-services & internet applications, attended to upgrading the shape and content of the website, applying highest technologies and top quality standards. This came to light after conducting a comprehensive study of the upgrading process, and the extent of the projected success. A field survey was also conducted to identify the requirements and expectations of the public; which is the biggest beneficiary of the upgrading process. Eventually, it is the number of hits recorded in the RTA website that mark and reflect the success of this upgrading process.
