The two defence giants are partners on many programmes, including the Hawk Jet Trainer which the UAE Air Force uses to train its fast jet pilots, and has done so for over 25 years. The UAE Hawks are powered by powerful and reliable Rolls-Royce Turbomeca Adour engine.
The Hawk is the world’s most successful jet trainer with over 900 in-service or on order for customers across the globe. The latest version of the Hawk, the Advanced Jet Trainer, will enter service with the UK later this year.
Steve Wearden, BAE Systems Training Solutions Sales Executive, said: “We are delighted to once again sponsor this event with our partners Rolls-Royce. BAE Systems has over 25 years of history with the United Arab Emirates thanks to the sale and continued support we provide for the Hawks in-service with the UAE Air Force; we are extremely proud of this long lasting relationship.
“Al AIN always produces an exciting air show, I am sure that the attendees will be thrilled by the aircraft and aerobatic displays.”
John Boughton, Director of Sales and Marketing at Rolls-Royce Defence Aerospace said: “We are again delighted to be supporting the Al Ain Aerobatic Show.
