Alfardan Automobiles, the exclusive importers of BMW, MINI and Rolls Royce in Qatar, has made a fleet of cars available from their luxurious BMW and Rolls Royce ranges for the tournament, scheduled to be held in Doha between January 24th and 27th 2008. In addition, Alfardan has also announced the prize of a BMW 650i for any player who manages to better the existing course record of the Doha Golf Club, the venue of the championship.

The world's top golfing talent has descended on the city to battle it out for the $2.5 million in prize money, and perhaps more importantly the prestige of victory at one of the most important events on the global golfing calendar. "It is our pleasure to partner with Commercialbank once again for the Doha Masters," said Mr. Abdul Rahman Hamada, Sales Manager, Alfardan Automobiles. "It's an important event that draws the attention of the entire sporting world and moreover, golf is a sport where elegance and execution are paramount, just like at BMW," he commented.

As the official car, BMW has made available 25 chauffeur driven X5s and a fleet of BMW 7 Series cars for shuttling players and important guests. "Top celebrities and athletes attending the event will be chauffeured around in a fleet of Rolls Royces, the very embodiment of luxury and class," said Mr. Hamada. "In addition, any player who manages to break the current course record of 63 strokes will win a BMW 650i, one of the fastest, smoothest cars anywhere in the world."

Alfardan Automobiles has considerable previous experience in transporting guests and VIPs to and from various conferences and sporting events across Qatar. "We are well known and respected for our luxurious fleets of vehicles and our well trained, BMW Certified chauffeurs," Mr. Hamada shared, "and our services are going to be at their very best for the Qatar Masters Tournament."

Sports and sporting events are receiving increasing attention in Qatar, and Qatar Masters is one of several events that Alfardan Automobiles supports. "Qatar is undoubtedly the hub for sports in the region, as demonstrated by the 2006 Asian Games, the 2016 Olympic bid and various other events," said Mr. Hamada. "We are in complete support of the Government's initiative and we will continue to do our part for sport in Qatar."
