Rakeen's participation in the second annual RAK Conference will ensure that the impressive line-up of prominent industry figures, thought-leaders, international and regional investors, and key government officials attending the conference, will receive a comprehensive overview of the numerous property developments that are coming up in Ras Al Khaimah, while also highlighting the investment opportunities for regional investors in several of the international projects that Rakeen is involved in.

Organised by Ras Al Khaimah Investment Authority (RAKIA), the government body responsible for the socioeconomic growth of the emirate, in partnership with business intelligence firm Middle East Economic Digest (MEED), the RAK Conference 2008 is being held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.

Commenting on Rakeen's participation in the conference, Amy Gough, Marketing Manager, Rakeen, said, "RAK Conference 2008 represents the perfect platform for us to showcase our property development capabilities to a high profile audience made up of decision makers, government officials and investors. As a land master developer committed to fully complement the vision of Ras Al Khaimah's leaders, Rakeen has been focused on developing projects that elevate the emirate's status as a flourishing business and tourism center."

"The RAK Conference will be another opportunity for Rakeen to reaffirm its mandate of developing sustainable properties, both within Ras Al Khaimah and abroad, with an overriding sense of responsibility towards social, cultural and environmental aspects. For Rakeen, success is synonymous with sustainable development and a conscious effort to enhance the natural environment, which is reflected in the significant technology investments we are taking to make our projects environment friendly," added Gough.

Rakeen is set to develop and manage several key projects in Ras Al Khaimah and overseas, including the Al Marjan Island, RAK Financial City, Gateway City, Jabal Al Jais and Banyan Tree Resort. Many major Rakeen projects are also coming up in Africa, Iran, India, and Georgia.

"Events like the RAK Conference go a long way in enhancing Ras Al Khaimah's position as one of the most attractive investment destinations in the Middle East, and Rakeen is keen to play a pivotal role in maximising the emirate's investment potential through the uniqueness and world-class quality of our property development projects," said Gough.

With Ras Al Khaimah's exceptional performance across a number of high-growth industries, RAK Conference 2008 expects to gather international and regional senior executives from a broad range of sectors, including leisure and tourism, real estate, infrastructure, manufacturing, ports and logistics, energy, banking and finance, and aviation.
