In a routine which incorporates 24 different formations, the Saudi Hawks are the only team to have ever lifted consecutive gold awards in Al Ain, with their 2004 and 2005 triumphs gaining the team worldwide popularity.

“Al Ain is always a very interesting and well organised show – the Saudi Hawks love coming here to display what we train to do. We have some exciting surprises in store for the audience, including some new moves, and we hope the crowds like our display,” said Lt Col. Ahmad Albrahim, Team Leader.

Formed in 1998, the Saudi Hawks performed for the first time in 1999 on Saudi Arabia’s 100th National Day, and to mark the celebration, the Hawks drew their county’s national emblem, a palm tree and two swords, in the sky with colour smoke columns.

“We are the only team which does our country logo. The wind sometimes makes is difficult but it is our most distinguished move and we will do our best. We will also make a huge heart in the sky – it is for all the people in Al Ain, and is a symbol for love, peace and unity.”
