The Cairo ICT 2008 forum is held from the 24th to the 27th of February under the auspices of H.E. Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Tarek Kamel in the Cairo International Conference Center (CICC). This year's forum will cover various aspects of the slogan 'The M Power,' relating to Mobility, Media, Money and Management.

'ICT is revolutionizing the banking and financial service industries with new offerings such as online trading and banking,' said Ossama Kamal CEO of Trade Fairs, the organizer of Cairo ICT. 'MIST's services directly relate to the way that ICT 'M-Powers' people to make more money.'

'Cairo ICT 2008 revolves around how technology empowers all facets of society through various sectors and shapes beginning with how it shapes our Minds-in addition to opening new vistas in issues like e-Government, m-Government, among others, on a regional scale,' said Kamal.

MIST will be located in Hall Four of Cairo ICT 2008, strategically placed near the top financial institutions in the country and the Smart Villages Financial District, which will exhibit how the blending of technology and finance empowers people with knowledge and skills to work in sophisticated financial markets.

'Trade Fairs is looking forward to expanding the commitment of Cairo ICT to the financial sector. We expect that by providing a large venue for discussions about the convergence of ICT and financial markets, the forum will continue to be the premier event in the region for professionals to network with each other,' said Kamal.

One of the major highlights for Cairo ICT 2008, Finland will be the guest of honor through official participation, high level presence of government officials and professionals, in the largest of its kind between North and South. There will be a special session of ICT investment and cooperation opportunities between Egypt and the UAE will be held in an attempt towards serious integration. Moreover, plans are underway for a session on cooperation between Asian and African Arab countries.
