The Cairo ICT 2008 forum is held from the 24th to the 27th of February under the auspices of H.E. Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Tarek Kamel in the Cairo International Conference Center (CICC). This year's forum will cover various aspects of the slogan "The Place We All Call the World is Changing" relating to how technology has changed the dynamics our homes, offices and places of commerce, such as banks. This slogan runs parallel to the theme of the "M-Power," in which ICT has "M-Powered" mobility, management, money and media.
"Cairo ICT has branched out to cover many fields and subjects, mirroring the phenomenal expansion of technology," said Ossama Kamal, CEO of Trade Fairs International, the organizer of Cairo ICT.
AlanDick Group has always been a leader in the technology field. "This year, Cairo ICT is discussing how the world is constantly changing on a global basis and changing our lives individually," said Kamal. "Alan Dick's products, solutions and services are directly related to the way communications and technology are consistently growing everyday inside our work places and homes."
AlanDick Group will be introducing Camouflage solutions (Palm trees, Lamp posts, Flag poles, Roman Column), In-door Building Coverage Solutions and Managed Services like Sensustech (Network quality measure), Site Watch (Remote BTS sites management), Sites maintenance Services, and Towers (Green Field, Roof top, Monopoles, stubs).
"With the outstanding success of Cairo ICT in the past, AlanDick is confident to participate yet another year," Dick said. "With the expansion of the communication and information technology market in Egypt and the Middle East—especially sectors that use our solutions and services such as telephone operators—we look forward to learning about the exciting changes in the industry such as the upcoming second fixed-line license."
Some of the major highlights of Cairo ICT 2008 include the nation of Finland as the guest of honor, hosting a pavilion of Finnish companies. The Finnish delegation will include a high level presence of government officials and professionals. There will also be a special session dedicated to ICT investment and cooperation opportunities between Egypt and the UAE, an attempt at serious partnerships between parties in both countries. Moreover, plans are underway for a session on cooperation between Asian, African and Arab countries.
