al khaliji continues its expansion with the appointment of Dr. Khan Zahid as Executive, Treasury

Dr. Khan Zahid has been appointed Executive, Treasury at al khaliji.

Dr. Zahid, a USA national of Bangladesh origin, joins al khaliji from Saudi Arabia's Riyad Bank, where he held the position of Chief Economist. A Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University in New York, Dr. Zahid has more than 10 years experience of the Gulf, first with the US/Saudi Joint Economic Commission (JECOR), a part of the U.S. Treasury Department, and since 2000 with Riyad Bank.

Dr. Zahid started his career as a college professor with the State University of New York before joining the World Bank in Washington D.C. Before coming to the Gulf, Dr. Zahid worked for five years in Wall Street with AIG, the US-based global financial conglomerate. Subsequently he acted as a consultant to clients as diverse as the micro-finance pioneer Grameen Bank, the Presidency University in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and AIG.
