Gulf Insurance Institute appoints its first Director General

Gulf Insurance Institute (GII) has appointed its first Director General, Ms. Wendy Maddison will head up the Gulf Insurance Institute, which will be based in prestigious Amwaj Islands and will serve the Gulf region.
Mr Fakhroo welcomed Ms Maddison's appointment, and she brings with her to the position over 20 years of experience in the financial services sector.
Her last position was as Executive Manager of the Bankers' Society of Bahrain. She holds an MA in Social Sciences, a BSc in Business Management and is a qualified teacher with the London Chamber of Commerce & Industry, UK.
Ms Maddison has been actively involved in the training and development in the financial services for many years, serving as a board member of the Bahrain Society for Training and Development and on the Board of Trustees of Human Resource Development Fund, banking and financial sector, Bahrain.
